Supervision for BSW/MSW Students &
BCaBA/BCBA Trainees

Thank you for your interest in receiving supervision from me towards your degree or license in social work and/or behavior analysis. I have been in the field since 2017 and became licensed as a behavior analyst in 2021. I initially started as a SPED substitute teacher and worked my way up to completing my BCBA hours at a private SPED day school for extreme problem behavior and intellectual disability along with private practice experience working with adults with IDD and mental illness. Since opening my practice in 2021, I have amassed extensive experience collaborating with group homes for adults with IDD and various other disabilities and co-morbid psychopathology. Additionally, I have experience prescribing assistive technology (AT) for the reduction of problem behavior and improving functioning in ADLs and iADLs. I also have experience implementing psychotherapy with neurodivergent individuals, LGBTQ+ individuals across the lifespan, and people with anxiety, phobias, OCD, eating disorders, and psychosis using a combination of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic therapy.

If you are a licensed behavior analyst and wish to consult with me on a difficult case or a case involving a mental health component, I am happy to assist. If you'd like to get scheduled, please call the office and they'll be happy to assist you with getting on my schedule.

Practicum Students

All potential students must interview with me before I will accept you as a practicum student or trainee. I ask that all potential students do as follows:

Email me directly (see “Contact Us” page) with a subject line indicating what kind of supervision that you’re looking for.
Attach a copy of your résumé or CV.
Include a brief overview of your background and why you’re hoping to receive supervision from me specifically.
If I think that we may be a good fit, I will then request that you reach out to my staff to schedule an interview.

All supervision sessions will be conducted through Simple Practice. Simple Practice is a HIPAA compliant platform that allows us to have remote supervision; however, we can also meet at my office depending on scheduling. For tracking hours, social work students will use the software recommended by your university and BCaBA/BCBA students will use MentraTrack. Please see the section that best applies to you for specific stipulations that I have in place.

BSW/MSW Students

In addition to the above, please include your university affiliation and whether you are in practicum I, II, or III.
If your university does not appear on the "Approved Universities" list below, it means that LBCY hasn't gone through the approval process for your university. This does not preclude you from using LBCY as your practicum site, but it means that you will need to go through the process of applying to have LBCY approved by your university's social work department.

BCaBA/BCBA Trainees

I am an approved supervisor with the Behavior Analytic Certification Board (BACB) and I am OK with supervising students towards licensure. However, please note that I specialize in mental health and ACT. The training that you receive from me will be highly specialized; thus, I am only taking on an extremely specific behavior analytic student. If you think that this is a pathway that you’re interested in, reach out and let’s see if we’re a match. Please note that I do not have the time at the moment to supervise BCaBAs post licensure. This may change in the future.

Supervisees in Clinical Social Work

I am unable to take on student LCSWs currently beyond supervising practicum placements. This will change in the future, so please keep an eye on this space. If you are interested in receiving supervision towards LCSW licensure in Virginia in the future, please watch this space as I will update this page when I am able to do so.

Supervision Fees

I charge a flat rate of $100 for 1:1 supervision sessions. Group supervision will be $50. This means that you will only pay me for our supervision meetings and not the full hours towards your license. BSW/MSW practicum students are free as most universities pay supervisors some type of fee. If your current financial situation makes these fees inaccessible, still reach out as I am willing to offer a lower rate if needed as I want supervision to be accessible to everyone.
