Disability Accommodation Testing

Thank you for your interest in pursuing testing for disability accommodations with my practice. This type of testing is a psychological diagnostic evaluation to assist with getting accommodations for college and licensing exams (MCAT, LSAT, OAT, etc.).

For this type of testing, we will adhere to following procedures:

  1. You will make an appointment for a “psychiatric diagnostic evaluation” by either using the booking page or calling the office at 1.703.257.3607. If you call, let the office know that you need a psychiatric diagnostic assessment and then they’ll alert me to your appointment.

  2. Either my staff or I will send out the intake package.

  3. Upon review of the intake package, I will send out the appropriate assessments using Simple Practice and/or Q-Global.

  4. We will meet either in person or virtually for your clinical interview.

  5. I will complete a writeup of my clinical impressions, your testing results, and my recommendations for accommodations.

  6. We will schedule a 30-minute appointment to go over the results and allow you to ask questions.

Please note that I am under the supervision of Erin Guiffre, MSW, BCBA, LBA, LCSW at this time and she will need to co-sign all psychological evaluations.

Pricing

I do not accept insurance to protect patient privacy; thus, I have created a sliding scale to make testing as affordable as possible. Disability accommodation testing is available on a sliding scale from $700 - $800. I allow 50/50 payments. This means that 72 hours prior to your appointment, the first 50% will be due and then the remaining 50% will be due 72 hours before your results review appointment.

Please see below for an example:

  1. You choose to pay $700 for your evaluation. We’re scheduled to meet on a Monday for your clinical interview. Your first payment of $350 would be due by that 11:59 PM that Saturday and then your final payment of $350 would be due 72 hours prior to your appointment to review your results.

If something comes up that impacts your ability to pay, please let me know. I will most likely either delay your appointment until your financial situation is better or give you a day’s extension to make the payment.

FAQ

  1. How long does testing take?

    • For this type of testing, the clinical interview should take two hours. For my side of things, the process takes between 8 – 11 hours as I need to review the results of the interview and testing and then put everything into a psychological report.

  2. Where can we do testing?

    • The testing itself will be via Simple Practice and/or a platform called Q-Global. We can meet for your clinical interview either in my office in Fredericksburg or via Telehealth. Note that I am only in the office in the mornings to accommodate my disabilities.

  3. Can I stim during testing?

    • Yes! Feel free to do whatever you need to in order to self-regulate.
