Therapeutic yoga offers a plethora of benefits for both the mind and body. Meditation can be used to help reduce stress and improve one’s focus and ability to “stay in the moment.” Asana (yogic postures) can be helpful in treating tight muscles and joint issues.
Personally, I have utilized yoga as my main treatment for tight muscles from cerebral palsy and to reduce my stress response.
Yoga can also be utilized to reduce high blood pressure and assist with weight loss and help with changing one’s overall lifestyle.
